This site is designed by pilots, for pilots with lots of room for growth.  You're invited to join and let me know what you need.  I'm not planning on duplicating much that other sites offer but want to include things others have not.

I know you can surf the site for the basic features, but I want to call your attention to several special areas:

Our Prop Shop will have unique offers of both Aileron Nation specific items and special offers we have selected from other sources.  You can be a flag waving member of Aileron Nation just by registering at our site.  The first 100 members will get a vinyl decal Aileron Nation Flag just like the website logo.  We have shirts coming with catchy slogans and colorful graphics.  Be sure to check back often to see the latest "props". We are expecting our inventory soon, so please check back to see our great deals!

Hangar Talk is a multi-topic forum, including topics like "Best Restaurants", "Favorite Planes", and "Dumb Tricks (I wish I hadn't done that)".  Join in the conversation.

Temporary Barracks is a room exchange database.  Pilots and friends of aviation are encouraged to register if they can offer a room or other accommodation to pilots that are "stuck" enroute due to weather or mechanical problems.  Pilots who find themselves in those circumstances can search the database for possible assistance.  It's a great idea but we're still working the details out.  There are issues of privacy, availability, and monetary consideration to address.  For the time being we are collecting names of those interested in providing a room.  We will not release the database for search until all the issue are addressed.  Your input is encouraged in this process.

Ask the Instructor is a feature we expect to be very popular.  Several instructors have offered to provide answers on a variety of topics, from Private Pilot through ATP rating.  I even hope to have a local floatplane instructor to answer those wet-foot questions.
